Cabo del Sol
An entertainment and sales app designed to engage families visiting "Cabo del Sol," a luxury residential complex in Los Cabos, Mexico. Families often came with many children and sometimes struggled to keep them entertained. I took this concept and elevated it to a new level. The main challenge here was the short time and very small budget for the project.
Origin and Concept
The idea for the "Cabo del Sol" app came from the primary investors of the residential complex, aiming to keep children entertained during sales visits. We started by discussing the needs of our clients, using design thinking and a UX-led approach. I led the team through each necessary step, from priority mapping and card sorting to prototyping, managing the entire process and team dynamics.

Resolving a Sales Challenge
Guests at the residential complex typically stayed for three to five days at a luxury hotel, touring the property to decide if they wanted to buy. However, families with children often disrupted the process, leading the directors to suggest creating an app with games to keep the kids entertained.

Expanding the Project's Scope
As we presented the project, we realized we could take it to the next level. Since we were already working with VR technology, we leveraged this expertise to create not just an entertainment tool but also one with augmented reality features. For example, kids could explore fossils in the sand using augmented reality. We also developed a points and rewards system to promote amenities within the residential complex and hotel, offering promotions, purchases at establishments, and prizes.

Prototype and User Experience
Here you can view the prototype, which showcases some of the navigation, selected images, and the overall experience.
The design was intended to capture the attention of both children and their families, creating an enjoyable and engaging atmosphere.
